DRIVER and SAFETY

NHRA / IHRA Safety rules apply depending on track.  Requirements vary with speed and et.   The following is a partial list of NHRA requirements which includes most requirements..

At the Atlanta $10,000 we are racing under NHRA rules.  NHRA owns the track.  Make sure you can pass tech.  I do not control tech.  Decisions of NHRA tech inspectors is final.  You will only be allowed to run as fast as you can tech for and the track rules will apply if you go under your teched ET. They may warn you once or they may disqualify you.  I can’t say exactly what will happen but you should just be legal for the speed and ET you want to run.  I can say that you will not be allowed into the Gasser Shootout if you don’t at least meet the NHRA rules for 7.00-7.35 in the 1/8 mile.  You should consult the NHRA rulebook.  I have summarized the safety rules below to help if you don’t have a rulebook but it is not meant to replace NHRA Rulebook.
